24th HIBC application day on 27 April 2016 – UDI summary

The 24th HIBC User Day was very informative regarding the currently dominating topic “Unique Device Identification”. Following the motto “Marking, registering, using UDI”, the most important key points were again mentioned and illustrated. In addition, service providers in the field of data transfer options pointed out various ways of transferring data and data to GUDID. Europe IT Consulting GmbH was able to demonstrate with the help of data export from SAP using the specially developed UDI Data Management SAP Add-On and the conversion of these files into a HL7 SPL file (UDI HL7 Converter) how data can be transferred using the FDA WebTrader.
